Arrrrrt Critiquuuue!

1. Describe: In the painting there is a man that has shot himself for an unknown reason. It could’ve been depression, or loneliness. The world may never know.
2. Analyze: This photo has many colors, shape, and lines. There are blue, yellow, green, red, brown, black, and white in this painting. Most of the shapes are rectangles or squares. The others are just organic shapes. You can tell that it was painted because it has streaks of paint instead of smooth. Therefore if you could touch the artwork it would be have a rough texture.
3. Interpret: this photo is serious. I think the message the artist was trying to get across was love is a battlefield. The overall mood is an upsetting mood because the guy killed himself.
4. Judge: I think this work is unique. I probably wouldn’t take it home because it’d be sad to look at all the time. If I did decide to take it home I’d probably hang it in the bathroom.

Spring Break

ALL spring break I was at my friend’s, Haley, house. Thursday I went to Jeremy’s for a while then stayed the night with Haley at Hayley’s with Savannah, Ariana, and Jada. Friday Haley and I stayed the night with them again. Saturday me, Haley, and Hayley’s mom we’re suppose to go to Nashville, but we didn’t have enough gas to get there and back. So Haley and I just hung out with Hayley’s mom all day cause we had nothing better to do. Sunday, we didn’t do much. Monday we cleaned the house then we went and hung out with Hayley, Savannah, and Jada. Tuesday, we hung out with Hayley, Savannah, and Jada. Wednesday I actually went home. My mom took me to the bowling green mall and I got a whole new wardrobe. Thursday, I spent time with Colton and Olivia, then Jeremy, and back to Haley’s house. Friday we walked around town with Hayley and Joseph for hours. Saturday, we hung out at the park for a little bit with Hayley and Aaron. Later that night we went to the river with Hayley, Aaron, Savannah, Gianna, and Jada. After we went to the river we hung out with Coleman, Jared, Matt, Cody, Griffin, Dave, Jacob, and Blade. we hung out with everyone again. Sunday Haley and I visited Coleman at work and met Cody and Jared there. Later on we hung out at the park. Even though it seems like we didn’t do much, my spring break was nothing but memories that will last a life time.

Video Comparison

Critque #1:
Descride- This photo is dark and demented. I see a monster eating a lady. it looks like they're in a cave of some sort.
Analyze- This work looks like it has a rough texture.
Interpert- i dont really get a message from this art work. The overall mood is a scared/frightened one.
Judge- I actually like this picture. I probably would take it home and hang it in the master bedroom or bathroom.

Critque #2:
Descride- I see a man that has died while writing a letter.
Analyze- the texture of this photo has a soft one because of the blankets.
Interpert- The overall mood is a sad one but also happy cause he died with a smile on his face.

Judge- I honestly dont like this photo.

The first one is Romanticism because it's dramatic, has visual brush strokes, and refures to a legend of big foot.

The second one is Neoclassicism because it has order, no color, and is calm.

Neoclassicism vs. Romanticism

http://animoto.com/play/URIEHXbxBipPGPDNqHE0tA
I would probably say that I’m a fan of Romanticism more than Neoclassicism because I like the painting during that time period more than the other. I like the way they have more fun or creativity with their paintings than neoclassicism. This had an effect on the pictures I chose for my slideshow. I chose these pictures because I liked them, plain and simple. Now the song a chose was one by Mozart. It’s called Serenade No. 13 A Little Night music - Rondo Allegro. I picked this song because it fit my theme and the flow of the pictures.
1st picture: Portrait of Countess Daru by Eugène Delacroix.
2nd picture: Girl Seated in a Cemetery by Eugène Delacroix.
3rd picture: Portrait of Madame DuBarry by Vigée-Lebrun.
4th picture: Derby of Epson by Theodore Gericault.
5th picture: Elisabeth 1755 – 1842 by Vigee-Lebrun.
6th picture: The Shootings of May 3 by Francisco Goya .

Mozart's Death Theories!

Murder, accident, or disease? There are many theories on how Mozart’s death. Before he dies he had developed a high fever, headaches, sweating, and swelling in his hands and legs. He could’ve got all these symptoms from a poison that an insane rival gave him, which would be murder. On the other hand, he there was a crack in his skull would could cause chronic bruising which put the man in a coma and eventually killed him. That wouldn’t have been anyone’s fault. Also, he could’ve died from a disease because a high fever, headaches, sweating, and swelling are all symptoms of trichinosis. Trichinosis is caused by a parasitic worm from port chops.
